Now now, I know rules are boring to read, but they are vital. They ensure this role play sticks to certain standards and are there to prevent arguments between what people think is right and wrong.
1. IC
Please DO NOT post cut during RP around others. It's extremely annoying for everyone involved, you just make things 10 times more confusing. Just try and consider this. No one's going to get banned for post cutting on occasion, but if you constantly continue to post cut on purpose, so after someone's told you you're doing it, you'll be warned.
NO slang or abbreviations are to be used in RP. Some people simply don't understand it and it's not very literate. These can however be used freely outside of RP.
Power playing is NOT TOLERATED. This is mainly an issue during spars or fights. Instead of typing your attack so it will happen to someone in some way, suggest the move or attempt it. This gives the other player choice of how you damage their character. No killing without the members permission.
NO rape of another character. And keep any knowledge you know out of character... out of character. This makes things much more realistic.
If you are in a pack, you'll always respect decisions and choices that your alpha makes, and must abide to them. Don't, if you are a loner, go willy nilly challenging every alpha you come across. You can only challenge to be alpha if you are in that pack. Any rank can challenge, but it's the current alphas decision who wins OOC.
Have common sense, if your character has some sort of injury or disability then depending on the problem, depends on their life expectancy. Having an injury that affects your movement like going lame or having hip dysplasia, your wolf would struggle to hunt, or if in a pack, be down ranked to omega unless being previously a high rank they you may obtain the rank elder.
2. OOC
Respect one another outisde RP.
Any arguments you have in character with members must not be taken outside RP. Lets all stay civil, but arguments during RP are inevitable.
This RP doesn't require you to be too active, it would be nice if everyone was active, but real life takes priority over game life. Being able to get on 2-3 times a week for a good length will secure you a place in this RP, any less and not stated in the absence forum will be kicked after being given a weeks period. In this week period you will be messaged a warning.
If your character in RP is of a high rank, you don't have power over anyone outside RP.
If you see someone braking rules on a regular basis, message me a screenshot and the matter will be looked over thoroughly.
Lets not be nasty to one another, swearing is allowed, no one under 12 should be playing anyway, but only use it in a jokey manner towards someone else who you know understands it's actually just a joke, or just use it not directed at other people.
Arguments should be sorted out over whisper or party if it involves more then two people.
3. Spars/Fights
Spars happen frequently between packs as they train possibly for an oncoming attack/threat, or just to train their juveniles that are all grown up. Spars shouldn't be personal, they're just a training exercise. So no serious injury's should occur due to a spar, and still all rules apply like no power playing.
Fights are more serious, they tend to be personal or due to loyalty and fighting along side your pack to: Defend territory, defend any kill made, defend other pack members or pups.
We'd prefer in this RP for fights to be realistic, so with a scenario of two wolves against one, the lone wolf should run or call for back up, not risk a serious beating in a fight they wouldn't win.
Don't start random fights and risk injury, fights should only happen over serious situations.
4. Characters
Keep them realistic.
If you make a preset, they too need to be realistic.
Use natural shades for your characters pelt like: Browns, greys, black, white, cream, tan.
NOT green, blue, pink, yellow or purple.
Eyes should be natural colours too: Blue, yellow, gold, orange, green (don't make these neon either).
Tuffs and manes are allowed, same rules on natural colours apply to these too.
Try to be creative with names, don't use something silly like Mr Floof or princess.
Obviously no wings. No items are allowed, even if you think they're realistic.
Choose realistic eyes like 'Black' and realistic ears like 'Normal' and 'Sharp'.
5. Packs
Packs will be territorial. You should defend your territory. When choosing territory you should take into count things like how easy accessible hunting grounds, water, shelter is.
Packs normally have the hierarchy of: Alpha/Alphess>Beta>Delta(optional)>Subordinate>Adolescent>Omega
Each pack individually chooses whether they allow all to mate or if just the alpha pair does. (This normally depends on the species of wolf in the wild). This website gives some information on the differences between species - http://www.wolfworlds.com/
Species of wolves tend to stick together when in packs and don't have multiple species in one pack, though this is generally because of species living in different parts of the worlds, but for this RP we allow the mixture of species in packs, BUT the species must actually be real species of wolf.
